Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by East Coast Appliances Ltd. By booking or confirming a service with us, you acknowledge and accept the following terms.

1. Booking & Appointment Confirmation

All service bookings are subject to availability. Appointments will be confirmed through our preferred communication method, including SMS or email. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule any service request based on availability or operational capacity.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a call-out charge.

3. Service Charges

A standard call-out fee applies to all visits and is payable regardless of whether a repair is carried out. Any additional repair or replacement costs will be clearly quoted and agreed upon before any work commences.

4. Warranty & Guarantees

All repairs are covered by a limited warranty on parts and a 90-day repair guarantee on labour, as specified at the time of service. This warranty excludes issues resulting from misuse, neglect, or unrelated faults that arise after the initial repair.

5. Liability & Limitations

East Coast Appliances Ltd. accepts no liability for pre-existing faults, unrelated appliance issues, or any consequential loss arising from delays, uncompleted repairs, or appliance failures outside the scope of the agreed work.

6. Access & Safety

Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the appliance and workspace. Our engineers must be able to operate in a safe environment. If access is restricted, unsafe, or results in delay, we reserve the right to reschedule the appointment and apply a call-out charge.

7. Payment Terms

All payments are due immediately upon completion of the service, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to apply late payment charges and may withhold further services until outstanding balances are cleared.

8. Parts Ordering & Return Visits

Where replacement parts are required, availability and lead times may vary. Customers will be advised of any delays, and a return visit will be scheduled once parts are received. Call-out fees may apply for each visit, unless covered by prior agreement.

9. Appliance Condition

We reserve the right to decline repair of appliances deemed beyond economical repair, unsafe, or likely to pose future issues. We may advise against further repair where replacement is a more viable option.

10. Installation Terms

For appliance installations, customers must ensure that utilities (water, electric, waste) are present, functional, and compliant with UK regulations. We will not be liable for existing faults in plumbing or electrics unrelated to our service.

11. Disposal of Old Appliances

Disposal of old appliances is not included unless specifically requested and agreed upon in advance. Additional charges may apply for this service, in line with WEEE regulations.

12. Force Majeure

East Coast Appliances Ltd. is not liable for any failure to fulfil our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, power outages, supplier delays, or illness.
